The OBL provides a multitude of virtual and in-person professional development and educational opportunities for everyone from tellers to senior executives, delivered in the right format, with the right content, at the right time. OBL Forums - Bringing Bankers Together 
These eight year-long programs are available for the CFO; as well as HR; Education & Training; IT; Commercial and Mortgage Lending; Marketing; and Senior Retail officers to keep bankers on the cutting edge of the industry. A high potential employee is an employee who demonstrates the aptitude, skills and natural leadership ability to effectively represent the bank in a mid to senior level executive position. High potential employees can be identified as such at any point in their career. Through recognition, support and development, they can perform at and above leadership expectations. Contact the OBL team to learn more about the premier OBL Bank Management School and the OBL Bank Leadership Institute, as well as other developmental programs outlined in the 2024 professional development brochure, linked above.
Scholarship Opportunities
Bankers who are interested in elevating their career to the next level may also consider attending the Graduate School of Banking in Madison or the GSB Human Resource Management School, and can explore scholarship opportunities available via GSB. Click here for GSB scholarship information. The GSB scholarship is valued at $1,500 for each of the three year program, and the application is due by March 1, 2024. The GSB HR scholarship covers $700 of the registration fee, and application is due by February 1, 2024.
Bankers may also explore the Pacific Coast Banking School. The PCBS "Rise Above the Rest" Scholarship is valued at $2,250 for each of the three year program. Complete this PCBS scholarship application by March 1, 2024.
