Closing Keynote - The Richest Man in Town
This talk is based on the relationship between an elderly man who ran a cash register at a big box store and a college administrator - an unlikely pair. Marty, the subject of the talk, had the longest line of people at his checkout station. It wasn't because he was slow; rather, it was how he treated each person who went through his line. He became the talk of the town. The college guy was so moved by all of this and was inspired to write the CEO of the company bragging-up someone he really didn't know. That letter changed both their lives. In time, Marty shared his simple philosophies to show what happens when you are kind and compassionate. All you give, you get back and more.
