General Session #2: Top Financial Fraud Schemes |
| Michael Hartke

Michael Hartke joined infotex in 2008, just as he was launching his third business supporting small to mid-sized organizations with their technology needs. Starting out as a third-shift Data Security Analyst (then called NOC Associate), Michael quickly developed a passion for cybersecurity. In those early days, he often worked six overnight shifts a week, applying his skills to everything from web development to network monitoring.

By 2009, Michael had built infotex’s first internal Client Notes tracking system. His innovative approach and dedication earned him a promotion to Senior NOC Associate, followed by a key role on the internal Tech Team. In 2011, he took over development of the infotex SIEM, laying the groundwork for future innovations.

As Programming Coordinator, Michael led the development of infotex SIEM2 and drove the launch of new services like Rogue Device Detection and Non-Reporting Devices monitoring. He also played a critical role in developing internal threat hunting and reporting tools, helping infotex’s Data Security Analysts (DSAs) proactively monitor client networks. To this day, Michael remains actively involved in Incident Response and occasionally jumps back into the SOC for hands-on monitoring.

In December 2022, Michael was promoted to Executive Vice President after years of behind-the-scenes leadership, ensuring infotex’s services consistently exceed Client expectations. In 2025, Michael was promoted again to the role of President, where he oversees day-to-day operations, focusing on optimizing tools and services to support community banks and small businesses.
