OBL is compiling feedback to share with the OCC on the topic of digitization challenges for community banks. This feedback has been requested by the OCC so that they may better understand specific obstacles that community banks encounter in their efforts to modernize.
The OCC said that new technologies can be important tools for community banks to meet customer demand, increase revenue, improve efficiencies and remain competitive. The agency’s request for information will help it “better understand the specific obstacles that community banks encounter in their efforts to modernize operations, enhance customer experience and remain competitive in an increasingly digital financial services environment.”
Comments can be submitted to Evan Kleymeyer, SVP, Government & External Relations (ekleymeyer@ohiobankersleague.com), by May 30. OBL will compile the feedback from Ohio banks and submit it to the OCC by the 45 day deadline.
